Mumbai, 14 Feb (HS): A portion of under-construction

Metro track fell in LBS Road in Mulund West, Mumbai killing one and injuring

three others. Some vehicles were crushed under the debris. The incident

occurred when slab of the Metro Rail construction collapsed around 12.20 pm on

Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Ramdhan Yadav,

while Rajkumar Indrajit Yadav (45) among the injured is critical. Mahendra

Pratap Yadav (52) and Deepa Ruhiya (40) who received injuries are stable.

The injured were rushed to a hospital in the region.

The four were travelling in the same vehicle.

Mumbai’s Mayor Ritu Tawde immediately reached the

accident site. The slab which collapsed was laid only yesterday. Tawde held

discussion with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who assured enquiry into the

incident. MLA Mihir Kotecha demanded action against the guilty after enquiry.
