13 Feb (HS): On the call of AICC, Regarding the adverse effects of the

anti-farmers and labour provisions of the Modi Government, the City Congress

Committee took out the MNREGA Mahasangram Rally on Friday afternoon led by City

President Fuzail Hashmi. While paying tribute to Shaheed Chandrashekhar, the

rally started from Azad Park and reached the Mahatma Gandhi statue. During the

rally, Congress workers raised slogans like“ Roll back MNREGA Bill-” “ Kissan

aur Mazdoor Virodhi Modi Sarkar Murdabad,” etc.

After

paying tribute to Gandhi, a Jan Chaupal was organized.Party members alleged

that if MNREGA is discontinued, development in villages will come to an end.

Congress will compel the government to withdraw the MNREGA Bill with full

force. It was said that the BJP and RSS, which follow the ideology of Godse,

cannot erase the sacrifice of the Father of the Nation who laid down his life

for the country’s independence. Renaming schemes has been the policy of the

BJP. It was said that BJP is another name for deception, and PM Modi is

synonymous with it.

informed that Jan Chaupals will be organized in all three Assembly constituencies

of the city regarding the withdrawal of MNREGA. Harikesh Tripathi, Kishore

Varshney, Mukund Tiwari, Tasleem Uddin, Anoop Tripathi, Afroz Ahmad, Nayan

Kushwaha, Parvez Siddiqui, Pratima Tripathi, Ishtiyaq Ahmad, Rakesh Srivastava,

Arshad Ali, Madhavi Rai, Anjum Naz, Rizwana Begum, Devendra Kumar, Ahmadullah,

Vinay Pandey, Shahnawaz Qureshi, Sartaj Mohammad, Saurabh Srivastava,Kaif

Warsi, Haseen Ahmad, Nasreen Bano, Tabrez Ahmad, Sheesh Ahmad, Mohd. Naseem,

Nafees Qureshi, Ajay Srivastava, Zahid Neta and many others were present.
