09 Jan (HS): Tensions have risen in Kapsad village, Meerut district, Uttar

Pradesh, following the murder of a Dalit woman, Sunita, and the kidnapping of

her daughter. A heavy police force has been deployed in the village to maintain

law and order. On Friday, SP MLA Atul Pradhan staged a sit-in protest, alleging

that he was not allowed to enter the village. Clashes broke out between the

MLA's supporters and the police. The victim's family has also refused to

perform the last rites of the deceased woman. The family is demanding the

recovery of the kidnapped daughter and the demolition of the accused's homes.

Tension

remains high in the Kapsad village of the Sardhana police station area of

​​Meerut district over the murder of a woman, Sunita, and the kidnapping of her

daughter. Meanwhile, Sardhana MLA Atul Pradhan was on his way to the village to

meet the victim's family when the police, citing law and order concerns,

stopped him outside the village. MLA Atul Pradhan staged a sit-in protest

against the police action. The MLA's supporters also became angry and began

protesting.

Atul Pradhan, calling the case serious, said he would not relent until the

accused were arrested and the abducted minor was recovered. The victim's family

has not yet performed the deceased woman's last rites. The family is demanding

the recovery of their abducted daughter and the demolition of the accused's homes.

Heavy

police force deployed in the village. In view of the possibility of law and

order situation deteriorating due to this incident in Kapsad village, the

police have sealed all the roads of the village. Heavy police force and PAC

have been deployed in the village. Senior police and administration officers

are on duty. Police officers claim that the situation is under control. Special

teams have been deployed for the arrest of the named accused and safe recovery

of the kidnapped girl.

According

to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Vipin Tada, five squads led by the

Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) have been constituted to apprehend

the offenders and free the abducted woman. In addition, a case has been opened

in response to the complaint.
