
Bhubaneswar, 08 January (H.S.): More than 4.57 lakh women beneficiaries across Odisha are set to receive financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana this week, providing significant relief and strengthening women’s financial security in the State.
According to official sources, a total of 4,57,681 women will be covered in the current phase of disbursement. Of these, 1,78,398 newly enrolled beneficiaries will receive ₹5,000 each as their first instalment. In addition, 24,018 women who were earlier excluded from the scheme for various reasons have been re-included following verification.
Officials further clarified that women beneficiaries who were previously left out will receive all their pending instalments in a single payment, ensuring that no eligible recipient is deprived of the benefits of the scheme.
Speaking to mediapersons, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said a detailed review of previously submitted applications was conducted. “Around 4,57,681 women beneficiaries will receive Subhadra assistance this week. This includes 1,78,398 newly registered women and 24,018 women who have been re-included after verification,” she said.
She added that 2,55,265 women, who had earlier received the third instalment but were not included in the lists for the first and second instalments, will also be provided assistance based on survey reports. “More than ₹250 crore will be disbursed under the Subhadra Yojana in this phase,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.
Reiterating the State government’s commitment to inclusive welfare delivery, Parida said all eligible women whose instalments are pending will receive their due assistance in one go, ensuring comprehensive coverage under the scheme.
