Kolkata, 05 January (H.S.): The Kolkata Metro's Blue Line faced technical problems once again at the start of the new year. The disruption occurred during the morning rush hour on the first busy workday of the week. A technical fault in an empty train rake affected metro operations between Tollygunge and Shahid Khudiram stations for a short period.

According to metro sources, the problem was resolved quickly due to the prompt action of the staff, and metro services were restored to normal. However, hundreds of commuters who had arrived at the stations early Monday morning to catch the metro to work faced significant inconvenience.

The sudden disruption led to overcrowding on the platforms, and many people were unable to reach their destinations on time. Passengers also expressed their frustration over the recurring technical issues.
