Velumani, who serves as the chief whip of the opposition party in the Tamil nadu Assembly, held a brief meeting with the senior Bjp leader at a hotel on Sunday night.

According to sources, the primary focus of their conversation was to devise effective strategies aimed at defeating the ruling Dmk in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for later this year.

The meeting took place during the Home Minister's two-day visit to Tamil nadu. On Sunday, Shah addressed the concluding session of a public connect campaign led by BJP state chief Nainar Nagenthran in Pudukkottai.

During his address, the Union Minister expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance, led by the Edappadi K Palaniswami-headed Aiadmk in the state, would emerge victorious in the upcoming polls and successfully form the next government.

Following the high-level meeting, the Home Minister continued his schedule by visiting prominent spiritual sites, including the Jambukeshwar temple in Tiruvanaikaval and the Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple in Srirangam. He also participated in festive Pongal celebrations organized by the BJP.
