23 Jan (HS): The City Congress Committee observed the 129th birth
anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose commemorated as Parakram Diwas. Partymen
led by City president Fuzail Hashmi garlands the lifesize statue of a great
leader, at Subhash Chowk in the morning. They described Netaji a commander, a
visionary and a symbol of unyielding patriotism whose legacy continues to
inspire India.
Congress
men urged the Central government to declare the national holiday on his birth
anniversary and urged the President of India to be awarded Bharat Ratna
posthumously to his undying dedication to the freedom struggle to the country.
Bose was a former Congress President and a real statesman.
