Harshita Mor's Clutch Fall Clinches Thriller: Maharashtra Kesari Edges UP Dominators 5-4 in PWL Thriller

Noida, 22 January (H.S.): Harshita Mor delivered a match-winning fall in the women's 76kg category late Wednesday night at Noida Indoor Stadium, propelling Maharashtra Kesari to a thrilling 5-4 victory over UP Dominators in Pro Wrestling League Season 2026 Matchday 7.

UP Dominators struck first as Mikhailov Vasil dominated Amit 15-3 in men's 86kg, securing control via successive takedowns and turn-and-exposures after an initial push-out; under-20 world champion Tapsya Gahlawat then rallied from behind to edge Manisha Bhanwala 12-9 in women's 57kg, clinching a high-scoring power minute with decisive takedown-and-turn.

Maharashtra Kesari countered through heavyweight captain Robert Baran, who methodically outpointed Jasppur Singh 10-2 with precise takedowns and late exposure, before Yash levelled at 2-2 via controlled 5-2 win over his 74kg opponent, capitalising on push-outs and activity points.

Tevarayan Vazhgan granted hosts a 3-2 lead in men's 65kg, edging Vishal Kali Raman 4-3 with early takedown, mid-period riposte, and clinching final takedown; Atish Thodkar extended to 4-2 in men's 57kg, prevailing 15-13 in a see-saw battle against Rahul Deshwal through mid-bout control and key exposure.

UP narrowed via Nisha Dahiya's tactical 8-1 dismantling of Dudova Bilyana Zhivkova in women's 62kg, but Mor exploited Ojo Damola Hanna's late error—despite trailing on points—to secure the fall, sealing victory.

UP salvaged consolation as Antim Panghal blanked Paris Olympic medallist Guzman Lopez Yusnelis 5-0 in closing women's 53kg; Mor earned Player of the Match, Gahlawat Fighter of the Match. Maharashtra rises second on four points and 14 bout wins; UP leads on identical points but superior 16 bout triumphs.
