North 24 Paragnas, 22 January (H.S.): A fire suddenly broke out at a paint factory in Madhyamgram area of North 24 Parganas district, on Thursday afternoon, causing panic in the entire area. The intensity of the fire was so great that thick black smoke spread all around, engulfing the surrounding area.

On information, five fire engines from the fire department immediately rushed to the spot. Firefighters were working on a war footing to bring the fire under control, but they were facing considerable difficulties due to the presence of highly flammable materials in the factory.

There was an atmosphere of panic in the area due to the fire. Local residents were advised to remain vigilant for safety reasons. The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained, and no casualties have been confirmed. A proper assessment of the damage and the cause of the incident will only be possible after the fire is completely extinguished.
