Pune, 22 Jan (HS): The Public Health Department can

use the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund for strengthening the health

delivery system. The policy has been announced with the responsibility to Municipal

Corporation’s Health Department to procure CSR funds by contacting various IT

Companies in the region. The CSR Funds should be utilised in a transparent

manner by systematic planning.

Under the policy the companies are expected to

extend its CSR Fund, not in cash but in the form of medical equipment for basic

health system, diagnosis, health training, preventive measures etc. CSR Fund

Regulation Committee and Execution Committee have been formed to decide

estimates for various works to be undertaken.
