Guwahati, 22 January (HS): The hearing on the bail applications of three accused in the Zubeen Garg murder case was completed on Thursday, with the court reserving its order for January 30.

The accused whose bail pleas were heard are Amritprabha Mahanta, Paresh Vaishya and Nandeshwar Bora. The court will pronounce its verdict on their bail applications on January 30.

During the proceedings, advocates representing Shyamkanu Mahanta and Sandipan Garg informed the court that they were not pressing for bail at this stage and accordingly withdrew their applications.

The hearing took place in the Sessions Court, where Garima Garg and Pami Borah were present.

Earlier in the day, the court had taken up the bail applications of all five accused in the case. The accused — Shyamkanu Mahanta, Amritprabha Mahanta, Sandipan Garg, Nandeshwar Bora and Paresh Vaishya — had approached the court seeking bail in connection with the murder of Zubin Garg.---------------
