Srinagar, 21 January (H.S.):

District

Police Udhampur has booked another violator for breaching the prohibitory

orders issued by the District Magistrate, Udhampur, regarding the use of VPN

services within the district.

The

accused has been identified as Rekha Devi wife of Romesh Kumar of Mand East,

Tehsil Udhampur.

She

has been booked vide FIR No. 13/2026 under Section 223(a) BNS at Police Station

Rehambal for violating District Magistrate Udhampur Order No. DMU/JC/1872 dated

03.01.2026, which prohibits the use of VPN services in the district.

During

verification, her mobile number was found to be using VPN services, thereby

violating the said order and further investigation in the matter is underway.
