New Delhi, 20 January (H.S.): In his first address as the newly elected national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, Nitin Nabin expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi while emphasizing that true leadership stems from connecting with people's emotions.
Nabeen recounted a poignant interaction with PM Modi during a Sadbhavna Mission event in Anand, Gujarat. I remember watching you attentively listen to every individual there, he said. Later, in your chamber, you emotionally explained why so many had traveled from Gujarat. That day, I learned that greatness comes from bonding with the masses' feelings.
Party's Rise and Workers' Dedication
He credited BJP's status as the world's largest political party to inspirational leadership, robust ideology, and tireless workers. These are the karyakartas who labor ceaselessly, refusing to let India's flag falter in adversity, proudly proclaiming 'May your glory endure forever, Mother India,' Nabin declared.
In BJP, he asserted, politics represents responsibility, not a mere position.
Targeting Opposition Tactics
Nabin sharply criticized opposition parties for obstructing cultural traditions, citing attempts to halt the sacred Karthigai Deepam festival on a Tamil Nadu hill. This isn't isolated, he noted.
They plotted against other events, moved impeachment against a judge, and felt unease celebrating Somnath's glory. He urged confronting such forces, ensuring no place in Indian politics for those denying Ram Setu's existence or opposing Karthigai Deepam.
Upcoming Electoral Battles
With elections looming in Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, and Puducherry, Nabeen highlighted shifting demographics as both a challenge and opportunity.
BJP workers will triumph through struggle and hard work, securing victory across all five states.
Born in 1980, Nabin built his political foundation on RSS discipline and patriotism. Over two decades, he rose from grassroots karyakarta to full-time national president. Elected MLA from Patna West in 2006's bypoll, he drove unprecedented reforms as Bihar minister handling road construction and urban development.
