14 Jan (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath greeted the nation on
the occasion of Makar Sankranti and Magh Bihu, emphasizing the harvest
festivals' cultural importance across the country. In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi
government proclaimed a public holiday for Makar Sankranti on January 15.
In
a post on X, he stated, “Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to everyone
on the occasion of Magh Bihu, a festival adorned with the rich heritage of
nature conservation and folk traditions. May this festival, symbolizing the
intimate relationship between humans and nature, bring happiness, peace, and
prosperity to everyone's lives.”
Meanwhile,
senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief
Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has extended his heartfelt greetings and best
wishes to all the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Makar
Sankranti, Uttarayan, Pongal and Magh Bihu. While extending his greetings on
the social media platform X, the Deputy Chief Minister wrote that may all these
holy festivals of new beginnings and joy bring new light of happiness,
prosperity and positive energy in the lives of all of you, this is his best
wish from God. At the same time, BJP's State General Secretary Organization
Dharampal Singh has also extended greetings and best wishes to the people of
the state on Makar Sankranti. He wrote on X that may this festival bring
happiness, prosperity and positive energy in your lives.
