Prayagraj,

11 Jan (HS): Heartily welcomed and felicitated the country's eminent

entrepreneurs and office bearers of Vaishya International who attended the

first state convention of Vaishya International Association held today on the

holy land of Prayagraj, the city of religion, culture and spirituality. On this

occasion, a modern handcart distribution program was also organized to empower

and make the people of Vaishya community self-reliant and to save them from the

clutches of moneylenders. In which, along with Prayagraj, 21 people from other

districts were provided with modern handcarts, Rs 10k and all the material for

business to make them self-reliant. Not only this, cheques were given to five

families of Vaishya community as financial assistance.

The

first state convention of the Vaishya International Association discussed the

upliftment of the Vaishya community, as well as the development of trade and industry,

the state's economic progress, and other topics. The Vaishya community has

always carried forward the glorious traditions, service, and values of its

Officials,

run any business and support one's family. Due to not being covered under bank

regulations, people become trapped by moneylenders and are unable to escape

this quagmire. Recently, two businessmen in Shahjahanpur and Pratapgarh

committed suicide due to pressure from moneylenders. The Vaishya International

Association's goal is to rescue such individuals from the clutches of

moneylenders, provide financial assistance, and empower them with

self-reliance. This initiative allows them to expand their businesses and

support their families. Modern carts are being provided to enable them to earn

a living while practicing business with dignity.

Minister

Nandi said that no one in society should be forced to take a suicidal step due

to any calamity, accident, or poverty; no one should be forced to hang

themselves after being entangled in the trap of usury and debt; no one should

suffer the intimidation of thugs and mafia; no one should lose their life at

the hands of criminals; no one, despite being hardworking and self-respecting,

should curse fate for their plight; no promising son or daughter should have to

abandon their studies due to lack of money. To achieve this, capable and

affluent members of society must come forward. As a family, we must connect

ourselves with the pain and suffering of society. Minister Nandi said that the

objective of the Vaishya International Association is not merely to provide

financial assistance to the needy; rather, the goal is to make them

self-reliant by connecting them with business.

The

team of gave a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to Sanjay Agarwal, a deaf and dumb couple

living in Chakdondi Mohalla of Naini, as financial assistance to expand their

business. After everything was destroyed in a fire in Meera Devi's shop and

house, Rs 5 lakh was given as financial assistance to rebuild her business.
