Darang (Assam), 02 September (HS): The Arunachal T20 Championship 2025 kicked off with two matches played at the Mangaldoi Sports Association Ground in Darang district. KRA Dominators and Kameng Kings registered wins on the tournament’s opening day.

In the first match, KRA Dominators posted 146 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Siang Storm managed 138 for three in the allotted overs, handing KRA Dominators a narrow 8-run victory.

In the second match, Kameng Kings set a formidable target of 190 for three. Kurung Blasters, in reply, scored 156 for seven, falling short by 34 runs.

A total of eight teams are competing in this year’s championship, with the final scheduled for September 16. Due to the lack of adequate cricket grounds in Arunachal Pradesh, the tournament is being hosted at Mangaldoi Stadium. Mangaldoi Sports Association president Guru Jyoti Das thanked the Arunachal Pradesh government for the decision.
