Delhi, 3 August (H.S.): Ravindra Jadeja set a new milestone in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy by achieving his sixth 50-plus score, surpassing Garfield Sobers' 59-year-old record for most such scores by a visiting batter batting at No.6 or lower in a series in England. This accomplishment occurred on Day 3 of the 5th Test against England at The Oval, where Jadeja scored 53 runs in India's second innings, contributing to a 374-run target for England. His six scores are the highest for any player batting at No.6 or lower in a series in England, breaking Sobers' five from 1966. Additionally, Jadeja matched the world record for most 50-plus scores at No.6 or lower in an away Test series, joining two others with this achievement.
