New Delhi, July 31 (HS): The proposal to extend President’s rule in Manipur will be presented in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, followed by a vote. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will seek approval for extending the President's declaration under Article 356 from August 13, 2025, for six months.

Additionally, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will present the Maritime Transport Bill 2025, which has already passed the Lok Sabha. This bill addresses the responsibilities, liabilities, rights, and exemptions of carriers regarding maritime transport of goods. The Lok Sabha approved the six-month extension on Wednesday.
