New Delhi, July 31 (H.S.): President of Philippines Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. , will undertake a State Visit to India from 04-08 August 2025, at the invitation of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Accompanied by First Lady Madame Louise Araneta Marcos and a high-level delegation, including Cabinet Ministers and business representatives, this marks President Marcos' first visit to India since assuming his presidency. The leaders are set to engage in bilateral discussions on 05 August 2025, and he will also meet with President Droupadi Murmu and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.
Established in November 1949, India and the Philippines maintain strong diplomatic relations spanning trade, defense, agriculture, healthcare, and technology. This visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, enhancing both countries' cooperation under India's ‘Act East’ Policy and the Indo-Pacific vision. It provides an opportunity to strengthen future collaboration on regional and international matters of shared interest.
