New Delhi, July 3 (H.S.): The Delhi High Court has issued a notice to the Delhi Police regarding gangster Neeraj Bawana's interim bail plea to care for his sick wife post-surgery. Justice Sanjeev Narula's bench has scheduled the next hearing for July 9. Bawana's Advocate stated that his wife needs surgery and highlighted the necessity to arrange two lakhs for the hospital bill. Bawana has only been allowed to speak to his wife during custody.
The Delhi Police opposed the bail, citing ongoing gang wars and violence involving explosives in the city, while Bawana’s Advocate contended that he is not involved in the gang conflicts and requested 10 days of interim bail. Previously, the court had granted custody parole for Bawana to care for his wife on July 1, having ordered his release for a specified period. Bawana is facing charges of double murder from 2015.
