Jamaica, July 17 (H.S.): Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced a 16-member squad for a five-match T20 International series against Australia from July 20 to July 28 at Sabina Park, Jamaica, and Warner Park, St. Kitts. The team retains key players from the recent Ireland series and introduces newcomers Jewel Andrew and Jedidiah Blades. Andrew, an 18-year-old batsman and backup wicketkeeper known for his aggressive style against spin, is a promising talent. Blades, a left-arm fast bowler, gained attention for his performances in the West Indies Breakout League. Shai Hope will lead the team alongside experienced players like Jason Holder, Akil Hosein, and Rovman Powell. Head coach Darren Sammy emphasized the team's focus on improving their ranking and preparing for the 2026 T20 World Cup.
