Ghaziabad,
13 July (HS): Ghaziabad police arrested six criminals including three members
of the Bawaria gang during an encounter in two different police station areas
on late Saturday night during the Kanwar Yatra. Four criminals were injured in
the gunfight by the police and have been admitted to a government hospital for
treatment. Weapons have been recovered from the miscreants.
Deputy
Commissioner of Police (Rural), SN Tiwari said that on Saturday night,
Muradnagar police station team was on patrol from Kakra culvert towards
Hussainpur road to prevent crime. Then, on the information of an informer,
three suspicious persons were seen on the culvert on the way. When the police
stopped them, they got scared and opened fire on the police. The police, while
defending themselves, fired two rounds in retaliatory action in self-defense,
in which two youths were shot in the leg. Due to which they got injured and
fell down. The third youth tried to run away taking advantage of the darkness,
but the police caught him. Among the injured miscreants, Vikram and Ajay are
residents of Azad Nagar police station Chiksana district Bharatpur Rajasthan.
While the third miscreant is Veer Singh resident of New Vikas Nagar Loni.
On
interrogation, the accused told police that they were members of the Bawaria
gang. A few days ago, there was a theft in a house in Revada village in
Muradnagar area, about 15 days ago, there was a theft in two houses in Surana
village in Muradnagar police station area, a month ago there was a theft in
Didauli village in Muradnagar police station area, two and a half months ago
there was a theft in Dhindhar village in Muradnagar police station area, before
this also they were involved in a theft in Surana village in Muradnagar police
station. In Mussoorie, Vikram Binder Amrish Dharmendra alias Tiddi Chotu beat
him up during a theft and ran away and he admitted to having committed a theft
in Khekra police station area.
These
people told that we do recce and commit theft in the houses adjacent to the
fields in the village by forming a group. Our associates in this group are
Sanjay, Modi, Binder, Amrish Dharmendra alias Tiddi. Two pistols and a knife
have been recovered from his possession.
Similarly,
Bhojpur police station and SWAT team arrested miscreants named Vikas, Nandu and
Akash, residents of Shahjahanpur Modinagar, during an encounter near Kodia Wala
Mandir. Vikas and Nandu were injured by police bullets. When the injured
miscreants were questioned, they told that on 12th July, they had committed a
robbery at gunpoint at Indane Gas Godown located in village Talhata of Bhojpur
police station area. In which they had looted mobile phones and cash. After committing
the crime, one of their companions was caught while running away, who has been
arrested.
