Boko (Assam), 13 July (HS): Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Gaurav Gogoi arrived to review the preparations before the meeting organized at Bangaon in Boko-Chhaigaon assembly constituency of Kamrup district on July 16. This meeting will be held in the presence of All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

Gaurav Gogoi reached the Shanti Nijra Club in Bangaon, the venue of the meeting, and reviewed the preparations. Many senior Congress leaders and workers including MLA Rekibuddin Ahmed, Nandita Das, Dudhanoi MLA Yadav Swargiari were present with him.

On this occasion, Gogoi said that The BJP government is carrying out inhuman evictions on the land of Assam. Due to the injustice and irregularities of the present government, the people of Assam are looking for an alternative system.

In this important meeting of Congress, the presence of every Mandal, Block and District President from across the state, as well as the candidates participating in the Panchayat elections, has been made mandatory.

During the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will address the people on various issues of Assam. Kharge will also motivate the workers so that in the coming days, the people of Assam can get a strong alternative against the BJP.
