(HS): The Sevagram Ashram Trust, Wardha, has announced a fellowship to promote
studies in Gandhian thoughts and their implementation. Those interested can
avail of the library at the Ashram. The Trust will make available two acres of its
land for experiments in agriculture with financial assistance for the
experiments, Ambar Charkha for experiments in Khadi, and human resources and
financial assistance for experiments in Gramodyog.
The fellowship
will be available for a maximum of one year, and the research fellow will get an
honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month, free lodging and boarding at the Ashram. The
researchers will have to follow the rules of the Ashram, including using Khadi,
donation of labour (Shramdaan) for one hour, attending the prayers, and if
required extending help in the Ashram’s work. The researcher will have to submit
the progress report every two months. The experts will review the work and
discuss the progress after six months and will guide the fellow.
