New Delhi, June 26(HS): The Delhi High Court has notified the National Testing Agency (NTA) in response to a petition regarding mental harassment stemming from a malfunctioning biometric verification system during the NEET-2025 exam. Justice Pratibha Singh scheduled the next hearing for June 27. The petitioner, Satya Nishtha, represented by Advocate Sandeep Sethi, faced issues at the Trishla Devi Kanohar Lal Balika Inter College in Meerut,UP where the exam, held on May 4 from 3 PM to 5 PM, saw failed biometric verification. This malfunction led to a five-minute delay in the petitioner’s entry, causing distress.

Despite this, the petitioner achieved a 98.86 percentile. The court directed the NTA to maintain CCTV footage and related evidence, and the petition mentioned that marks should be awarded based on a precedent set by the Supreme Court in a similar case.
