Quetta, May 9 (HS): Pakistan is facing a critical crisis following a terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which has heightened global scrutiny on military tensions between the two countries.

Concurrently, Balochistan province, located in southwestern Pakistan, is experiencing increasing calls for independence. Renowned writer Mir Yaar Baloch has recently declared Balochistan's independence and proposed an official representation in India, requesting an office and consulate in Delhi. He urged the United Nations to acknowledge Balochistan as a Democratic Republic and convene a summit for member states to support this claim, demanding a peace mission to Pakistan's occupying forces to vacate Balochistan. He called for the expulsion of all non-Baloch personnel from government and military positions and sought the establishment of a new independent Balochistan government.

An interim government announcement is forthcoming, ensuring representation of Baloch women. A ceremonial event to celebrate the new government will occur soon, with invitations extended to international dignitaries.

Mir Yar also reassured the Hindu community in Balochistan of their safety and the protection of their religious sites from threats by the Pakistani military, emphasizing Balochistan’s resilience against oppression. He promised a stark lesson for the Pakistani army, emphasizing that terror and intimidation will no longer be tolerated.
