Delhi, 7 May (H.S.): Following Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy issued directives on May 7 to detain illegal Pakistan and Bangladesh nationals in Hyderabad. The state government has cancelled all leaves for emergency service employees, emphasizing that they, along with ministers and officials, must be ready for service and cancel foreign trips if necessary. In a review meeting post-Operation Sindoor, the CM stressed the need for a communication system in the Hyderabad command control center and warned of strict action against disturbances to peace and security. He called for national unity in support of the Indian Army, urging political restraint during these challenging times.
Revanth Reddy warned government employees against making controversial statements regarding Operation Sindoor and announced a toll-free number for public assistance. Officials are to stockpile blood and emergency medicines while ensuring accurate updates on private hospital bed availability. The CM requested coordination with the Red Cross and sufficient food stockpiling, alongside heightened cyber security vigilance to combat fake news related to the operation.
The police were instructed to link CCTV cameras to the command control room across three commissionerates in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda. Enhanced security measures were mandated for all district headquarters, sensitive areas, and foreign consulates. Additionally, the Hyderabad police were placed on high alert and instructed to monitor known criminals in the region.
