Jodhpur, 8 May (H.S.): All schools in Jodhpur will remain closed from Thursday, until further notice, due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, as announced by the District Collector on May 7.

Exams scheduled during this closure will be postponed. This decision follows Operation Sindoor, where Indian forces carried out military strikes in nine areas of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Educational institutions in bordering regions, including Baramulla, Kupwara, and Gurez in Kashmir, and all five border districts of Jammu, were closed on the same day. Authorities advise the public to stay alert and adhere to official guidelines. Additionally, schools in the Punjab border districts of Ferozepur, Pathankot, and Amritsar are also closed.
