Gaza Strip, May 21 (H.S.): Since Wednesday morning, at least 42 people have died in bombings in Gaza by the Israeli army. Israel has dismissed concerns from the UK and the EU regarding the ongoing conflict, while the UN warns that 14,000 infants urgently need food. Without supplies within 48 hours, their lives are at risk. Aid distribution in Gaza has been severely restricted, although some trucks have entered the area. The Gaza Health Ministry reports over 53,573 Palestinian deaths and 121,688 injuries due to the conflict, while government media states the death toll has surpassed 61,700. In Israel, 1,139 people were killed during Hamas attacks on October 7, 2023. Mixed reports also detail recent arrests and injuries among Palestinians amid ongoing violence.
