Tel Aviv/Gaza, June 1(HS): The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has confirmed that senior Hamas leader Muhammad Sinwar was killed in a highly precise airstrike carried out in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, on May 13. Over 50 bombs were dropped within 30 seconds during this attack. According to the IDF, the attack targeted Hamas's underground tunnel network and command center that spread beneath the European Hospital in Khan Younis.

In addition to Sinwar, Raffa Brigade commander Muhammad Shabana and southern Khan Younis Battalion commander Mahdi Qwara were also killed in the attack. The military also claimed that all missiles were precise and that there was no harm to the hospital. Following this confirmation, Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a sharp statement. He said, It is now official that the murderer Muhammad Sinwar, Raffa Brigade chief Muhammad Shabana, and his associates have been killed. He has been sent to the gates of hell beside his brother. Katz further warned, Gaza City commander of Hamas Izz al-Din Haddad and leaders sitting abroad such as Khalil al-Hayya and others should also be prepared; you are next in line.
