New Delhi, May 20 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the Sikkim State Day celebrations on May 29. This visit is a significant occasion for Sikkim. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang invited the Prime Minister during their meeting in New Delhi and expressed the delight of Sikkim's people. The Prime Minister's Office confirmed his acceptance and eagerness to join the historic event. Tamang emphasized the honor of formally inviting Modi on behalf of Sikkim's residents for the year-long Statehood Day celebrations. During their discussion, he also congratulated the Prime Minister on the success of Operation Sindoor, acknowledging its importance in the fight against terrorism and enhancing national pride. Tamang thanked Modi and reiterated his government’s commitment to the state’s development, expressing hope that the visit would inspire new growth for Sikkim.
