Tel Aviv/Gaza Strip, April 7 (HS): The conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip has intensified, with Hamas retaliating strongly to Israeli strikes. On April 6, Hamas launched numerous rockets at southern Israeli cities, but Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) intercepted most.
The IDF reported destroying a missile launcher in Gaza and emphasized their commitment to protecting citizens. Hamas continues to target Israeli civilians while allegedly using Gazan civilians as human shields. The IDF also announced the seizure of Hamas weapon caches intended for use against Israeli troops in Judea and Samaria.
Meanwhile, two female Israeli Air Force soldiers sustained serious injuries in a vehicle accident near Beit Shemesh and are receiving treatment at a military hospital, with an investigation ongoing. Additionally, the IDF conducted a drone strike on a Hamas rocket launcher in central Gaza and issued evacuation warnings to Palestinian residents in the Deir al-Balah area prior to the attack, as shared by Colonel Avichai Adraee on X.
