Islamabad, April 8 (H.S.): Pakistan has issued visas to over 6,500 Indian Sikh pilgrims for this year's Baisakhi festival. Indian Sikh pilgrims will visit major religious sites in Pakistan, including Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib, and Kartarpur Sahib, from April 10 to April 19.
According to Sources, Pakistan’s Charge d’Affaires in India, Saad Ahmad Warraich, stated that the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has issued more than 6,500 visas to Indian pilgrims on the occasion of the 2025 Baisakhi festival. This will enhance religious harmony and brotherhood among communities.
He mentioned that Pakistan's visa policy aims to build a bridge between various cultures and religions. Pakistan will continue to facilitate the pilgrimage of religious visitors to sacred sites in the country.
Earlier, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi issued 154 visas to a group of pilgrims for visiting the holy Shri Katas Raj temple located in Chakwal district. This pilgrimage, which began on February 24, was completed on March 2. It is noteworthy that under the Pakistan-India protocol established in 1974, thousands of Indian pilgrims visit Pakistan every year to participate in various religious festivals at these sacred sites.
