Liverpool, April 28 (H.S.): Liverpool clinched the Premier League title on Sunday with a decisive 5-1 victory over Tottenham at Anfield, equaling Manchester United's record of 20 titles in English top-flight football.

After suffering an early setback, Arne Slot's team made a remarkable comeback and maintained dominance throughout the match.

The match kicked off amidst the roar of over 60,000 spectators. Despite some early attacks, Liverpool faced a blow in the 12th minute when Dominic Solanke scored with a brilliant header from a James Maddison corner, giving Tottenham the lead. However, Liverpool equalized just four minutes later with a goal from Luis Díaz, which was validated by VAR. Alexis Mac Allister then scored a spectacular goal in the 24th minute, putting Liverpool ahead. Cody Gakpo followed up with a third goal, complicating things for Tottenham.

Liverpool's dominance continued in the second half as top scorer Mohamed Salah scored a fantastic goal from a pass by Dominik Szoboszlai. He then took a fan's phone to snap a selfie in front of the 'Kop End', sending waves of joy throughout the stadium.

The continuously echoing chants of We are going to win the league and We shall not be moved made the atmosphere even more special. In the 70th minute, an own goal from Tottenham's Destiny Udogie doubled Liverpool's lead to 5-1, making the match completely one-sided.

Before the match, fans waved flags and scarves proclaiming Liverpool 20 Time Champions outside Anfield. Liverpool fans, who could not celebrate in 2020 due to COVID, fully enjoyed this title-winning triumph.
