Islamabad, April 24 (HS): Pakistan has been provoked by India's announcement of punitive diplomatic measures in response to the terrorist attack that took place on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu-Kashmir. It is particularly infuriated by India's decision to suspend the Indus Water Treaty. In this context, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif's recent statement is spewing venom against India.

According to Reports suggests that Asif considers the terrorist attack in Pahalgam to be merely a false operation by India. Like his predecessor, he continues to believe that India has illegally occupied Jammu-Kashmir. He stated that Pakistan has vowed to give a tough response to any aggression under the guise of India's false operation. Due to its neighbor's hostile nature, Pakistan remains on high alert.

Asif alleged that India has been attempting to exit the Indus Water Treaty for a long time. He said that if India engages in any hostile action, Pakistan will not hesitate to respond. He mentioned that the issue of the Indus Water Treaty will be at the forefront of the National Security Committee meeting. Pakistan is united on this issue. The country's armed forces, including the air force, possess complete defensive capabilities.

Khawaja Asif softened his stance by stating that Pakistan desires normal relations with its neighboring countries, but is also prepared to respond firmly when provoked. India's aggression will be met with a response similar to that during the Abhinandan incident. Khawaja Asif made another accusation against India, claiming that it is behind terrorism in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In addition, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar declared India's action to be unjustified, stating that it would be met with a strong response.
