ABVP Raises Concerns Over JNU Election Committee's Biased Actions

New Delhi, 19 April (H.S.): The functioning of the JNU Election Committee as the Team B of leftist organizations has been a subject of concern for the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

The committee's biased behavior has been evident in their recent decision to extend the nomination withdrawal deadline multiple times, even after the final candidate list was released. This unprecedented move has been viewed as an attack on the democratic process by ABVP leader Rajeshwar Kant Dubey. Despite opposition from students and other candidates, the committee, in collaboration with last year's Left United representatives, attempted to extend the withdrawal process further, resulting in the entire election process being put on hold. ABVP has expressed their disappointment and called for the JNU Student Union elections to be held on the scheduled date.

This issue raises concerns about the fairness and transparency of the election process and highlights the need for impartiality and adherence to constitutional norms by the JNU Election Committee.
