
Bijapur, April 19 (H.S.): A concrete RCC slab bunker of Naxalites has been discovered by security forces on a hill in the forests of Murkarajgutta in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. This bunker, shaped like a waist, measured 20 by 8 feet. The security forces have recovered several items used by the Naxalites from this bunker. Bijapur SP has confirmed this.
On Friday, the Cobra 208 team of the security forces launched an anti-Naxal operation from Camp Jeedpalli in Bijapur district. During this operation, the Cobra team found a bunker-like room made from RCC slabs, measuring 20 by 8 feet, on a hill in the Murkarajgutta forest. From this bunker, six solar panels, six jerry cans, two Naxalite uniforms, and two ceiling fans were recovered. Additionally, the personnel of Cobra 208 also discovered and destroyed a hidden spot for Naxalite supplies in the Murkarajgutta hill forest during their search of the entire area. Earlier, the security forces had recovered weapons-making equipment, tools, and explosive materials from the forests of Komatpalli and Tumrel.
Bijapur SP Jitendra Yadav stated on Saturday that the security forces have so far identified and destroyed 12 dump sites in the core area of the Naxalites.
