During her two-day stay in San Francisco, Sitharaman will give a keynote address at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, focusing on ‘Laying the foundations of Viksit Bharat 2047.’ She will also engage with top CEOs in a Roundtable meeting and connect with the Indian diaspora. In Washington D.C., from 22nd to 25th April, she will attend the Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank, the 2nd G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meetings, and other significant meetings.

Additionally, she will hold bilateral discussions with various international counterparts and organizations, including the EU Commissioner for Financial Services and leaders from the ADB and AIIB.

During her first visit to Peru from April 26 to 30, 2025, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will lead an Indian delegation comprising officials from the Ministry of Finance and business leaders to bolster bilateral economic and trade relations between India and Peru. The visit will begin in Lima, where she will meet the President, Dina Boluarte, and Prime Minister, Gustavo Adrianzén, along with holding bilateral discussions with Peruvian Ministers of Finance, Defence, and Energy and Mines.

Sitharaman will chair the India-Peru Business Forum and engage with Indian investors and businesses operating in Peru. Given Peru's role in the global supply chain of critical minerals and precious metals, discussions will likely focus on enhancing collaboration in the mining sector to boost India's resource security.

Additionally, she will participate in a community event to interact with the Indian diaspora in Peru.
