Mumbai, April 18(HS): In the 33rd match of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians put on a stellar performance to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets. The hero of the match was English all-rounder Will Jacks, who scored 36 runs with the bat and took two crucial wickets in bowling.

Batting first after losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Openers Abhishek Sharma (40) and Travis Head (28) gave a quick start, but it was challenging to maintain the run rate in the middle overs. Heinrich Klaasen played a valuable innings of 37 runs towards the end.

For Mumbai, Will Jacks picked up 2 wickets for just 14 runs in 3 overs, while Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each.

Mumbai Indians' chase started off balanced. Rohit Sharma (26) and Reklton (31) formed an important partnership. However, in the middle overs, Hyderabad's captain Pat Cummins added life to the match by taking 3 wickets, including those of dangerous batsmen like Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks.

In Mumbai's victory, Tilak Verma played a steady innings, scoring an unbeaten 21 runs, while Hardik Pandya scored a brisk 21 runs. Although Mumbai was under pressure at one point, the team completed the chase by scoring 166 runs for 6 wickets in 18.1 overs.

For Hyderabad, Pat Cummins took 3 wickets, Ishan Malinga took 2, and Harshal Patel took 1 wicket.
