10 April (HS): On Thursday in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath and Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi met

to examine wheat procurement, PM Kusum, and the PM Surya Ghar Yojana at 5

Kalidas Marg on Thursday. He held a review meeting with Chief Minister Yogi at

his residence regarding PM-Kusum and PM Surya Ghar Yojana and wheat

procurement. UP Government's Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Energy

and Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma, State Minister Satish Sharma,

senior government officials also attended this meeting.

Taking on social media, X, the Chief Minister

uploaded a photo with the Union Minister. Today I had a courtesy visit to

Honourable Union Minister Shri@JoshiPralhadji at his official residence in

Lucknow, the tweet said.

According to sources, the Uttar Pradesh

government's wheat purchase exceeded 1 lakh tonnes in the first week of April

on April 9. According to statistics,

20,409 farmers sold wheat through 5,780 buying facilities. According to the

officials, registered farmers are permitted to sell up to 100 quintals of wheat

without verification.

According to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's

decree, purchase centers would be open over the vacations. The government

started the PM Kusum initiative in 2019.

Its goal is to encourage solar energy in agriculture by providing

financial help in the form of subsidies to farmers and other organizations who

install solar pumps and grid-connected renewable energy-based power

plants. The PM Surya Ghar Yojana intends

to give free electricity to families by promoting rooftop solar systems and

empowering residents to generate their own electricity. Earlier, on April 9, the Yogi-led

administration approved a 2% rise in the Dearness Allowance for state

government employees beginning January 1, 2025, from 53% to 55%.
