Nagpur, 18 Apr (HS):

The annual waterhole census in the Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve (NNTR) called

‘Nisarga Anubhava 2025’ will be held on May 12. The event offers nature

enthusiasts an opportunity to participate in wildlife monitoring from within

the reserve.

Online registration

for the event will begin on April 19 at 10 am and will remain open until 10 pm

on April 21. Interested individuals in the age group of 18 to 60 can apply by

filling out a form online, with a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 200.

The registration is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

The initial

list of selected participants will be published on April 24, while a waiting

list will be released on April 28, subject to seat availability. Each applicant

must register individually. Final confirmation of participation will be done

only after payment of an additional Rs 2,000 participation fee, which must be

submitted by April 27.

Selection and

allocation of machans will be done by the NNTR authorities based on

participants’ preferences. A signed indemnity bond is compulsory for participation, and all decisions made by the NNTR administration will be

considered final.

Participants

will receive a packed dinner on May 12 and breakfast on May 13. Though attendees

may carry their food and water, disposable plastic bags, bottles, and

containers are strictly prohibited inside the reserve.
