New Delhi, April 1 (H.S.): The number of registrations for the Create in India Challenge (CIC) at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (Waves), which will be held in Mumbai from May 1 to 4, has crossed 85,000. This includes 1,100 international participants. The winners of the Create in India Challenge will be honored at a grand ceremony in Mumbai with the 'Waves Creator Awards.'

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement on Tuesday, revealing that Waves has generated a wave of innovation and engagement in India, emerging as a premier platform for creative talent on a global scale. With features of 32 diverse and empowering challenges, such as the high-energy reel-making competition, solution-oriented truth-tell hackathon, visionary young filmmaker challenge, and imaginative comics creator championship, the CIC offers creators a unique opportunity to showcase their skills. Other major events like the A.I. Avatar Creator Challenge, WAM! Anime Challenge, eSports tournament, trailer-making competition, theme music competition, and cutting-edge XR Creator hackathon establish the CIC as a definite launchpad for the next generation of storytellers, designers, and digital innovators.
