New Delhi, April 1 (H.S.): The Waqf Amendment Bill will be presented in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. In this regard, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress, Janata Dal United (JDU), and Samajwadi Party (SP) have issued whips to all their Lok Sabha MPs to ensure their presence in Parliament on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the BJP issued a whip to all Lok Sabha MPs instructing them to be present in Parliament on April 2. Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, the party's chief whip in the Lok Sabha, mentioned in a circular that some very important legislative work will be brought to the Lok Sabha on Wednesday (April 2). All BJP members have been requested to be present in the House at all times on Wednesday to support the government.
Meanwhile, Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chief whip Kodikunnil Suresh has asked his MPs to be present in the House on the next three days, i.e., April 2, 3, and 4. It has been stated that there will be discussions on very important topics in the House on these dates. Therefore, all party members should be present in the House from the beginning until adjournment to support the party.
Similarly, SP and JDU have also issued whips to their members directing them to be present in the House.
