Putin Confirms India Visit; Russian Foreign Minister confirms


New Delhi, March 27 (HS): Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to visit India. According to the Russian Foreign Minister, arrangements for Putin's trip to Delhi are currently being made. Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar stated that India-Russia relations are so strong that even in a changing world, they manage to pursue mutual interests while seeking a path for global welfare.

Today, the Foreign Ministers of Russia and India addressed a conference titled Russia and India: Toward a New Bilateral Agenda organized by the Russian International Affairs Council via video conferencing. Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin met twice during the India-Russia annual summit and the BRICS summit.

At the conference, Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said on Thursday that the relationship between India and Russia is continuously strengthening with a long tradition of mutual trust and respect. These relations have an extraordinary capacity to contribute to global welfare while seeking mutual benefits in a changing world.

The Foreign Minister stated that deepening the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia is a shared priority of our foreign policy. He mentioned that strong cooperation continues in areas such as energy, defense, and civilian nuclear cooperation as before. Trade, technology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, connectivity, and digital economy are emerging as new areas of cooperation. India and Russia have set a goal to increase bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030.
