Sonbhadra,
23 March (HS): A shameful incident has come to light from Sonbhadra district of
UP. There was a stir after confirmation of a minor girl living in a hostel
becoming a mother and another minor girl being pregnant. The first incident is
from Singrauli in MP bordering Sonbhadra; the second is from Shaktinagar (UP)
police station. An eighth class girl studying in a hostel in Singrauli gave
birth to a child in the community hospital. Police registered a case against
unknown people and started investigation. Police is interrogating the minor
girl, hostel staff and family members. The age of the girl is said to be 14
years. Doctors said that both the mother and the child are healthy. A team of doctors
is monitoring. Confirming the incident, Jitendra Singh Bhadauria, in-charge of
Sarai police station, said that the hostel warden and the family members are
being interrogated.
In
this case, SDOP Devsar Rahul Kumar Saiyaam said that information was received
from Community Health Center Sarai that a minor girl has arrived for delivery.
As soon as the police got the information, the women police reached the hospital,
where the minor girl has given birth to a child. A case has been registered
against the unknown accused and investigation is being done. In another case of
Shaktinagar police station area, after confirmation of the minor being
pregnant, the police registered a case of rape and arrested the accused youth.
Shaktinagar's
in-charge inspector Kumud Shekhar Singh said that based on the statement given
by the 14-year-old minor before the magistrate, the accused Rajiv Kumar was
arrested by the police, presented in the court and sent to jail. In this case,
the police had registered a case of molestation a week ago. The minor told
about the rape before the magistrate. On the basis of the statement and medical
report, Shaktinagar police arrested the accused Rajiv Kumar.
