NEW DELHI, 17 March (H.S.) : The government of Delhi has initiated an extensive campaign
aimed at mitigating air pollution and enhancing the environmental conditions in
the capital. Significant measures are being implemented under the guidance of
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. This initiative includes a detailed strategy to
eliminate dust along the entire ring road, as well as efforts to plant trees
along the roadside and alleviate traffic congestion.
CM Rekha Gupta announced that the government has initiated
decisive actions to address the issue of air pollution in Delhi. A
comprehensive review of various strategies has been conducted, and all relevant
departments have been directed to implement effective measures without delay.
Elaborating on the air pollution control action plan, the
Chief Minister stated, Our foremost priority is to make Delhi clean and
free from pollution. The government is wholly dedicated to enhancing air
quality through scientific and sustainable approaches.
Through the establishment of roadside green belts, the
implementation of advanced dust control technologies, and the enhancement of
public transportation, we are dedicated to providing the residents of Delhi
with a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment. In pursuit of this goal,
the government has instructed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), the
Public Works Department (PWD), the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), and other
relevant agencies responsible for road openings to undertake tree planting
initiatives along the roadsides.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the
establishment of a control room dedicated to the real-time monitoring of public
buses. Ensuring a clean and pollution-free Delhi is our foremost priority, and
the government is wholly dedicated to this cause. The Delhi Government is
resolutely focused on implementing tangible measures for environmental
enhancement and pollution management, in collaboration with the Central
Government, various agencies, and the general public.
