NEW DELHI, 11 March (H.S.) : Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's health is showing signs of improvement following his heart attack, and he may be discharged from AIIMS in the near future. Jagdeep Dhankhar underwent angioplasty on Sunday following tests that confirmed he had suffered a heart attack. He was admitted to the hospital after experiencing chest pain. The condition of the vice president, who is currently receiving care at Delhi AIIMS, is now showing signs of improvement. After the angioplasty procedure, he has been placed in the Cardiac Care Unit (CCU).

As per information obtained from hospital sources, he is expected to be transferred from the Critical Care Unit within a day or two. Following this, his health will be closely monitored in a private ward. It is important to note that he was admitted to AIIMS at 2:00 AM on Saturday night after experiencing chest pain and discomfort. Subsequent examinations revealed that he had suffered a heart attack.

The hospital reported that the heart attack was attributed to a blockage. To address this issue, the vice president underwent angioplasty on Sunday, during which a stent was inserted to rectify the blockage. Currently, he is being monitored by medical professionals. It is anticipated that he will be released in two to three days. It is noteworthy that on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AIIMS and met with the vice president to inquire about his health.
