Hailakandi (Assam), 06 February (HS): A tripper hit a bike on National Highway-6 in Hailakandi on Thursday. In this accident, father and son riding the bike killed on the spot. After the accident, the local people expressed their anger and blocked the highway.

A high-speed tripper and a bike collided head-on on the highway in Baurghat area. In this accident, bike rider Saleh Ahmed Barbhuiyan and his nine-year-old son killed on the spot. After the accident, the tripper driver fled from the spot. Angry local people expressed their protest by blocking the national highway. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and pacified the people by explaining. After investigation, the police has sent the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem. The police is searching for the accused tipper driver.
