Agartala, 5 July (HS): BSF Tripura Frontier jawans, acting on the basis of special input, foiled an attempt to smuggle drugs in the Boxnagar border outpost area.
BSF PRO said on Saturday that foiling the plans of smugglers active on the India-Bangladesh international border, the BSF recovered 5,000 Yaba tablets, whose estimated value is said to be ₹50 lakh.
It was told that these narcotic pills were being prepared to be sent to Bangladesh. The BSF team, which became alert in time, foiled this major smuggling attempt by taking prompt action. This success of the Border Security Force is being considered important in the ongoing drive against drugs.
