Sant
Baljit Singh: A unique confluence of service and spirituality - Management
Committee member Manmohan Singh said that this massive service campaign has
been organized under the inspiration and guidance of Sant Baljit Singh Ji, who
was once an engineer in the Merchant Navy, abandoned a lucrative job and
material comforts and adopted the path of renunciation. Now he is giving the
message of spirituality, devotion and human service to the society, and every
moment of his life is dedicated to the service of humanity.
On
January 12, Sant Baljit Singh himself visited the camp and inspected the
service work. He sat with the devotees and had food and gave the message to
everyone to take goodness from Maha Kumbh and leave the evils here.
Vishwa Manav Roohani Kendra's service campaign is not limited to Maha Kumbh
only. Since 2005, this organization has been organizing free food and medical
camps for pilgrims during major religious events like Amarnath Yatra, Mani
Mahesh Yatra, Shri Khand Kailash Yatra, Adi Kailash Yatra, Kanwar Yatra.
